Trying out my iPhone

I am trying to post from my iPhone. If it works it may allow me to post things more often and quicker than when i have to find time to sit at the computer. I am still trying to find time to keep updates coming but it is very hard. All I can say is that I will do as much as I can without neglecting my family and my house. Now that I am working on mondays and Tuesdays the posts on those days will be scarce unless this iPhone thing works out. Sorry for all the inconsistency, hopefully I will get it worked out. If not,I will let you know. I hope to get my week in review post up tomorrow after church. That will depend on the baby and his nap schedule.

Walgreen's Benadryl RR Warning

If you are planning to purchase the Benadryl (and some other products) this week to get the RR, please check out this post at NWA deals that explains why the RR are not printing. I tried this yesterday and they didn't print. The cashier told me it was because I used the RR from last week, now I know that is not true and it was the coupons that made it not print. Heather has explained it all, so go check it out.

Kroger Weekly Ad 8/26-9/1

Check out the list of deals that Southern Savers has for Kroger. Her Kroger runs sales Sunday through Saturday while here in the Central Arkansas area the sales run from Wednesday through Tuesday. Although we are pretty well stocked and I said we would be emptying our pantry, I couldn't pass up all the deals of the Kroger Mega Event. Shame on me, I have no willpower. According to Jenny at Southern Savers, the Mega Event will continue next week, so you have plenty of time to grab these deals. Check out her list for the coupon matchups. I do have a bit of a warning though, be wary of Shortcuts e-coupons because over $5 worth did not come off of my bill. I am debating whether I want to go to the trouble to contact them or not. I have read about a lot of people having the same trouble. So, I wouldn't count on them, although some did come off of my bill, just not all of them. I found that to be wierd, such inconsistency. The Cellfire coupons worked beautifully. I think I will quit counting on the Shortcuts and just consider it a bonus if they work! I also didn't get the $3.50 catalina that I should have gotten for buying (5) Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks. I am not sure if it didn't print or if the cashier just did not give it to me. I didn't think about it until I was already to the car and did not feel like going back. I had the baby and he was already worn out. Anyway, here is what I got.

I'm Back!!

I'm back and hope to work out a schedule this week that will allow me to continue bringing you the great deals that I find but without neglecting my family or my house. My oldest son told me once that he wished he was a coupon! That's both sad and funny at the same time. It is very easy for me to sit down at the computer and lose all track of time. I just get so excited when I find good deals! I'm going to have to find a way to strike a balance so hang in there with me.

I did not do any shopping last week for two reasons: we are stocked and I was back at work. This week I did make it to Walgreens, Kroger, and Target. I will get those trips posted shortly, hopefully (depends on how long the baby sleeps.)

Week In Review 8/8

I told you last week that we are on a clear out the pantry and freezer mission because we are overstocked. So, I only made it to Walgreens to do the Vitamin shampoo/ conditioner deal twice. The only reason I did that was because I had something that I had to buy at Walgreens anyway. So, instead of walking in Walgreens and just purchasing the item that I needed, I bought a shampoo and conditioner (in separate transactions) to get two $4 register rewards to use to pay for the other item. So instead of getting the one item that I needed for $10, I got that item plus a shampoo and conditioner (plus $0.09 folders for filler items.) The Vitamin shampoos and conditioners are regularly $6.99. I did find one with a try me free tag on it, so I actually will have made a little money when I get the mail in rebate back. My transactions looked like this, not including tax because I can't find my receipts. Oops!

Jenny at Southern Savers has found a great new coupon book at Walgreens. It is a Walgreens coloring book that is found with the other coloring books or close to the pharmacy. I made two stops at Walgreens this week only because the first store was out of Ajax and the Goody hair clips. I shopped on Friday and used the extra 15% off coupon that was available on their website. That made the savings even better. You can see the coupon matchups here and here. Possible Vitamin shampoo moneymaker at Walgreens next week

According to Freebies 4 Mom ,Vitamin shampoo and conditioners should be $3.99 each with a $3.99 register reward next week. That makes them free! And if you buy one that has a Try Me Free hangtag, you will get the full purchase price back in a mail in rebate. Remember that while you can get multiple free after RR bottles of shampoo or conditioner (do multiple transactions, only one RR will print per transaction) you can only get the rebate on one shampoo or conditioner.

Go print a coupon for $2 off 1 Honey Bunches of Oats Pecan Bunches cereal. This should make for free or nearly free cereal combined with a good sale. (Thanks, Money Saving Mom)

Print coupons from Coupons.com before they are gone

Coupons.com will likely reset at the end of the month. So go now and print the ones that you want because they may be gone if you don't. Some may still be available but reset so that you can print two more!

Free gallon of white milk with $100 grocery purchase - I wonder if this is before or after coupons. I would hand this one over first before your other coupons. New Cellfire e-coupons 7/28

Cellfire loads new e-coupons every other Tuesday so new ones were added yesterday. Hurry over to load the $1 off Honey Nut Cheerios because it says there is limited availability. It probably won't last long since it is such high value. It should make for a great deal combined with a paper coupon.
